I have just bricked up a small fireplace and need to render it before the plasterer arrives, do I have to seal the rendering somehow to stop the plaster drying too quickly ?

Why do you need to render it?
Because I’m nice
Lol fair enough, easier to give a quick base coat of bonding then skim though.
