hi all, can any guide me to a solution for skimming up to and around a porthole type window. we are going to plasterboard over it and cut the circle out (about 18"diameter) the skimming's not a problem but i just wanted to know how to get an edge round the hole to skim up to i.e like corner beading but round or is there another way? cheers :D

you can use a bull nose external angle trowel, or you can line the inside with hardboard, skim the face, when fully set
remove the hardboard and skim the inside and when set rub the edge back to a pencil round,
do a Google on flexible bead as I'm not sure if they make one now.

yeah most buiding suppliers stock flexible beads now but it will finish to a square edge
