can anyone tell me what`s best ,having just plastic fascias or putting plastic on to existing wooden fascias and if it`s on wood do i need to treat the timber first , if so whats the best product to use............thanks in anticipation...............

I'd disagree, and say that there is nothing wrong with overcladding

as long as the timber is sound i too see no problems with it,why make a bigger job for yourself if the timber is ok and solid and not rotton then over board.
