plastic into cast iron

Am currently fitting new bath and toilet, which all has plastic fittings. My existing old pipes are plumbed into cast iron. Are there specific fittings for cast iron and plastic or will off the shelf pan connectors do?

Normal pan connectors fit into C I.
Bath waste won't be CI. There are several options for lead pipes - compression usually ok.

Thanks for that, the bathroom is on the ground floor and the bath goes into cast iron, via a the trap (some kind of old metal pipe. I am wondering about the diameter of push fit connectors for the bath, anymore advice would be appreciated

1 1/2"" or 42mm

as chris says multifit (compression) will usually do the trick
