Please could someone tell me what the plastic pipe going from the waste (in utility room next to washing machine) to the boiler is for as i don't understand its purpose and want to move the waste when i re-do the kitchen?

what is the purpose of the pipe and will i need to incorporate it into the new waste when i do it?
Boiler installers dont waste time fitting pipes unless they are necessary!
It drains the condensate from the boiler and have to be correctly installed and often insulated outside.
