Hi there,

I was up in my loft the other day and noticed that one of the white plastic pipes coming from the tank had come apart. It looks easy enough just to push it back together but should I be using any kind of sealant. Dont know what the pipe is for but there is no water coming out of it.

Thanks in advance,

Peter.

sounds like it's probably the overflow. near the top of the tank & takes a route to outside??

If so, sealant isn't really necessary but you need to make sure it's well supported and fixed so it doesn't come out again. Should your ball valve fail, you'll want your overflow to be in tip top condition, unless you like wet plaster on top of your bed.
