Hiya guys, really hoping someone can shed some light. Dishwasher been fine today up until an hour ago. Put evening dishes in and started it away on a 65c cycle. Heard its usual sucking noise and then just as it was about to pull water into the machine it did an intermittent beeping (the same beep noise it does when finishing a cycle). We openned it up and checked,it had spat the tablet out but no water?. I cleaned the filter and we tried again, still the same beeping.Even when we turned the dishwasher to off you could hear the pump running??, this only stops when you turn it off at tha wall. Tried this about ten times and it still does the intermittent beeping and you can hear the pump running but nothings happeneing.Hope someone can help?
regards
a very stressed out wife!!

hiya mate, what does that mean? the metal base of the dishwasher is empty? am alll confused :(

the base tray underneath the machine catches any leaks and operates a float switch causing the pump to run all the time.

would it be easy for hubby or me to get to the base tray?.Ive just tried the dishwasher again and its still doing the same thing, its constantly running the pump until you switch it off at the wall. When you turn it on again the pump still runs but the dishwasher is dry,no water, you hear it switch to pull water in then it just intermitant beeps.

Also, have just checked the SALT container (never had to use it as our water is so soft the in westcountry, checked with south west water and they said no salt required) this is full of water??
