just redecorated and fitted a new kitchen i need to move an existing radiator about 2 foot back i know how to remove the radiator itself but as i have to cut back the existing pipes to replace it how would i go about this it is a end radiator! please let me know as i have started the job and not finished husbands going mad!

Know what you mean, my husband's the same.

Obviously you have to cut the pipes back, and to do that empty the water out - unless you want to freeze the pipes. Option would be to buy a set of bungs and block the openings in the header tank in the loft, so you can make ONE open and and not lose (much) water.
Bit different if you have a sealed system / combi, let us know.

You can use compression or push-fit connectors on wet pipes, and plastic pipe iit helps - it's available in 3m straight lengths.

i have all the compression valves i need just how do i drain the system i am going to shut of the valves to each rad but then not sure what to turn of to drain the pipes with out having a continioul water flow !

Assuming you have a small tank in the loft, tun off its input or tie the ball up. Find a drain point on the CH pipes and let the water out. If you leave a small rad downstairs open, the water from both sides will be able to get out.
Your pipes will be below the floor,so if below the drain point a gallon of water will still be in there. No prob if you have an aquavac.

Jus being picky, I know, but PLEASE try to use punctuation - it makes posts so much easier to read!

Good luck with the project, though.
