hi,

I am trying to build a utility with a sink and washing machine and I cannot find a place for the waste water to go.

The plumber told me to dig under the toilet and make a hole big enough for him to fit into and he will fit the pipes. Ive dug under the toilet 60cm wide and about 80cm deep and I cant find a pipe.

Does anyone know of an easier way to find this pipe? Or an easier solution to install this waste pipe.

Please help. My back will appreciate it.

thank you

That toilet must discharge somewhere if it’s connected. Is there nothing else nearby, you may have a combined sewer for rain water. That kitchen area - where does that discharge?

Where is the sink and washing machine going?

We need more pictures, some of the hole you have dug and the kitchen waste pipes and gully. Also are you a terraced or semi, where are your manholes? Draw a plan out.

Why isn't your plumber being more helpful?

hi,

Its a semi detached, the manhole is on the side of the house, close to the front of the house.
Ive added more pics.

The floor is concrete.

You appear to have a shower head that can reach the toilet pan.

Has it been installed in a way that is compliant with the Water Regulations

That was installed before I moved in, its a butt washer type. Its not in use, the head fell off a few years ago, someday when I redo the bathroom that will get taken out.

Anyway lets focus on the waste water. Any educated guess on where I should dig or look? Maybe remove a few bricks?

I think firstly you're digging in the wrong place, I'd hazard an educated guess, the soil pipe from the WC is turning left as it goes under the floor and runs into a stack in the corner of the room, behind the boxing where Bernard has indicated your illegally installed Douche hose is currently hanging. (Orange line.) Basin waste could also run across behind the boxing, (blue line).

Work out the relative position of that externally and dig there. Are there any Inspection Chambers nearby?
