Also how else are you supposed to fit these compression hoses through a kitchen worktop then because you have to fit the hoses through the worktop to mount the tap

I mostly stick to boilers and dont fit many of those things.

The last time was when I was on holiday in France in September!

As far as I can recall I fitted the hoses with a spanner on the bench and then fed them through the tap hole from the top!

How did the leaks go unseen on your monthly inspections?

Didn't braded hoses fail on the RR Trent engines and ground the Quantas fleet? Were they also of inferior quality? Thats your specialist subject!

Thanks for your replies. the plumber has bought new taps from a proper plumbers supply store so hopefully they will not be of of inferior quality.

I am still worried they might go again if the bend is too tight. Could we periodically check the hose for deterioration, or does it go suddenly ?
