Hi, Had a new boiler installed December. Back boiler taken out and a new vaillant ecoTEC Plus 831 31kw condensing fitted. very please with the result. does everything i was told it does. only one thing i am not sure about pressure runs about 1.5 bars. How often do i have turn taps to build up pressure only about every ten day i have to turn the two taps under boiler to build up pressure to get ot water and heating.I have checked visably for water loss leaks ect and found nothing can anybody shine any light on this. Could someone tell me if i am doing something wrong before i cal the man out. Many thanks. cc

call the man back. he should really have explained all senarios of conversion as well as how to work the new senario.

If what you're saying is that you have to re-pressurise the boiler every couple of days then there is a serious problem, possibly underfloor leak.
Check the safety pipe to outside (comes from opening on front right hand side of bottom of boiler), and see if there is any water coming out. Probably not but worth checking.
Your old back boiler was probably on an open vented system, and so would have topped up any underfloor leaks automatically without any action on your part.
