Hello

I am wanting to replace and install some new radiators.
I am trying to workout the correct size for each one and I have become confused.
The on-line btu calculators listed below are giving me different answers!

The BTU figures from http://btucalc.co.uk/ and www.heatandplumb.com are 100% higher than the BTU figures from www.radcalcs.co.uk.

Could someone tell me which website figures are correct?

Your time and efforts much appreciated.

Without knowing the details and sizes of your rooms how are we supposed to know what is right or wrong

You can try just inputting any room details into both websites and you will see the different BTU values.

For example, my lounge is 5.5m(L) X 3.6m(W) with a standard ceiling height of 2.4m. It has one outside wall and a window with a surface area of 5.5m2.

The www.radcalcs.co.uk tells me that I need a rad to output 9266 btu but the www.heatandplumb.com states 4750 btu, with me inputting the same detail in both.

Do you or anyone else know which website is giving the correct info?

thanks
