Please name the part I need to buy

Hi please can someone help name the part I need for my shower knobs. They have stopped turn properly and just spin. The part I can see that is broken I have attached pictures but don't know what it's called or if I can buy this part individually.

It looks to me like someone has jammed a plastic cone onto the actual spline that the tap should be seated on , so if it isn't a bona fide part , it may be a bodge to help turn the tap.
If you know the make of the unit then you may stand a chance of finding a replacement, either that or replace the original spline and tap head.

Worth checking the spindle is not seized that's often why handles chew up inside.

Not unusual to have a tap with a plastic insert/adapter.
