I'd like to replace my MEM rewirable fuses with the plug-in MCB type.

I know you're all going to say "Don't bother, just replace the old board with a new consumer unit." The problem is the people who lived in my house before me had the wonderful idea of building a false wall in front of the board, leaving only a small hole with a door, just big enough to access the fuses! I'd love to replace the board, but it would mean ripping the whole wall out.

I'd like to replace the rewirable fuses just for convenience really.

Does anyone know where I can get plug in MCBs that will fit into my board?

Thanks,

Gray

Retro-fit MCBs are generally only made for wylex standard boards AFAIK

You say its for convenience.... do you have a problem with fuses blowing often then?

Mem made various ranges , have you more details or picture,
Usually it is on the board.

Or a picture if possible

Depending what you have ,dictates what if any will fit

get used to the idea of ripping the wall out.

No, not really, it's just a pain when they do having to dig out the old fuse wire.

I will try and get some details of the board and post it here.

And no, I'm not going to rip my wall out!
