Ive had a plumber round who has sunk the pipes in a wall and its been plastered over. Now when the heating comes on you can hear a creaking for around an hour. Also the same when the heating goes off

Looking in the loft it looks like plaster has been applied over the pipe (no gap)

I can live with the noise however the question is will this cause any problems in the near or distance future e.g. the friction fractures the pipe?

I dont think there protected. Im reluctant to have to rip out a new kitchen and take the wall out to get at them. Is there an easy fix for this?

A pipe should obviously be fitted to allow movement and ideally insulated too.

I like to wrap bubble wrap around the tube as that is cheap, thin and allows movement and gives some insulation.

How did you come to employ such a cowboy?

Family friend. Never make the same mistake again. In terms of correcting this is it possible to just live with it? Or does it need to be fixed ASAP

As long as the wall is dry then its not going to be a problem if you can live with the noise.

After a few weeks the noise might stop as it abrades the plaster.
