Hi all

this is my first post so please be kind.

I have bought a new washing machine and want to use the old one in an outhouse about 15/20 feet away. If possible, I want to avoid getting it properly plumbed in as it is only going to be used very occasionally.

Being the numskull that I am  I decided that I could do this by connecting a garden hose pipe to our outside tap and run it to the washing machine cold inlet.

The washer worked perfectly except that the hose pipe burst under the pressure.

can anyone tell me how I could adapt this system so that it works.

thanks

Either fit a pressure reducing valve or use a stronger hose.

Quickfit used to have some yellow hose which was reinforced and seemed quite strong but I dont know the SWP for it.
