14 hours on... there's a very small pool of water in the tub 
Very small. Very very small. It's between the union with the boss in the rad and the tail of the valve (the one that is tightened with the large allen key). The only way I can properly tighten it is to drain down, AGAIN, remove the TRV and use the allen key in the way intended... or risk knackering the finish and use a wrench? Grrr
