Plumbing in a washing machine and dishwasher (Part 2)

Hi,

Once I have plumbed in my two applicance, I need to connect up the wastes. I cannot seem to find a kitchen sink trap which caters for both washing machine waste and dishwasher waste.

Can I use a kitchen sink and washing machine trap and then attach a "Y" connector, so the washing machine part of the trap is attached to both the washing machine and dishwasher waste values?

i take it you are refering to a "spigot" (thing that sticks out the side of the sink waste)

i would recomend you run i n a new stand pipe forboth appliances, the pipe is not expensive and it solves all problems
