Hi,

I am about to buy some WC's for a new house. Before I go for the ones which fit flush to the wall, how do you get at the soil and water pipes to plumb them in?

I hate flexis.

Careful measurement and fixing rigid pipes in exactly the right places, so they all line up when a back to wall pan is offered up to them.

Wall hung pans are usually fitted to a prefabricated frame built into the wall behind the final finish. The frame usually has clamps to hold the pan connector and flush pipe in the right position, so the pan simply plugs into them when it's offered up.

Did I say I hate flexis?

Hi & Thank-you.

How about attaching the water pipe to the cistern inlet?

Rigid waste outlet - flexi water inlet  So we`re all right.

As a test, when the wc is all plumbed in, slip a piece of paper underneath between it and the floor just before screwing it down. Flush the toilet several times and then remove the piece of paper to see if it is wet indicating any leaks.
