Plumbing in American style fridge (Samsung)

Got a big Samsung fridge 2nd hand from a friend, with ice maker and cold water feed.

Plastic hose feeding it was damaged on moving the fridge.

What size are these pipes usually on uk fridges?

Was thinking of getting a copper one instead as replacement, are they connected inside the fridge using compression or is it a special connection?

Any advice appreciated

1/4 inch pushfit plastic typically, and usually purchased as a kit with pipe, adaptors, connectors etc.
