My plumber is in the process of installing my new copper sink but the basket waste that came with it doesn't fit a standard trap. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is it possible to adapt in any way? The sink was bought from a British web site.

You need a Macalpine adaptor, inch and half to inch and half, to take the top lip of the trap or cut lip off and fit a flat washer rubber or fibre
