Fitted new shower in our bungalow. There wasn't enough gradient to the drain so we had a Saniflo installed, what a mistake!, the din is driving us mad and it has to go. Can we put the waste lower in the floor so it goes under the damp proof course?, on the outside wall there are 3 rows of bricks below the dpc, but even then it may not be enough. Any ideas gratefully received.

Is the floor solid or suspended?
How much higher is the bathroom/shower floor than the external ground level?
What other drainage is nearby inside the property?

You can usually raise the shower base on a frame of some kind but door/enclosure and tile etc. might have to be altered.

Drain as in a gulley? There are possibly other options available, lowering the gulley, or a direct connection to the drain for the shower, providing there is sufficient depth to the existing drains to achieve that. Worst case scenario could be to excavate the floor in the bathroom to install a new drain under the shower to take the water. As long as the damp proof course integrity is maintained there is nothing stopping you from going through the DPC/DPM with the waste pipe.

Saniflo's are generally disliked by most on this forum. They are unreliable, noisy (as you've discovered), and I cant imagine it'll manage for too long on a shower if it gets clogged up with hair....

It all depends on the fall over distance that can be achieved!
You'll need to measure the difference in height between the lowest point at the drain and the bottom of the shower trap and over what distance! You can reinstate any breach of the dpc/dpm with silicone and/or liquid membrane.

The floor is suspended. The shower tray is 12cm from the floor. The old waste pipe is 12cm above the dpc(measured from the middle of the pipe. There is a pipe from the kitchen, the bathroom and the gutter going into the drain, which sits on the bottom course of tiles. The measure ment from the shower waste to the outside wall is 230cm.
