Hi i have built a gardenroom and want to put plywood on the walls and ceiling inside and wanted to know if 9mm plywood will be thick enough for this as i already have several sheets of this.

Was not sure where to post this.

9mm is quite thin, you could puncture it with a garden fork if you are clumsy.

is this for an internal comfort liner when you have a damp membrane and insulation?

Thanks JohnD it must
be stronger than plasterboard though. Yes it is for a liner with membrane and insulation.

Have a look at the cost of wood now, you may decide that 9mm will do...

No thinner than a pvc shed or shiplap though? I’d say it’s ok, plywood is quite robust.

i don't think i need to double board it i have 15mm cladding outside double battens giving 50mm air gap, wrap then 11mm osb then 4 x 2 filled with insulation.

Also consider what you may want to screw to it before fitting the plywood.
Add battens behind for extra strength first.

Also are you going to be adding wiring for electrics? think of that too.
