Poetic justice.

[They include Article Eight of the Human Rights Act - brought in by the Labour Government - which states that everyone has the right to a private and family life.]
I wonder how privateT Jowells house is now,but i see she as washed her hands of it and says it is her estranged husbands house.

It doesn't really matter whose house it is near (although it is quite amusing) You can't just buy a field and make it a permament living space.

If a developer had bought the land he/she would have to go through due process so why not them.

Why can't they buy land with planning permission ?

If you move them on where do you move them to? Might as well give them permission to stay where they are, on the condition that the plot can never be sold on other than as agricultural land.
