Hi

I have four Velux windows on a low pitched roof, the roof tiles are flat and are basicaly cut down each side of the window, the flashing kit that came with the windows has a foam edge that butts up against the under side of the tiles about two inches from the cut edge.

My question is should the tiles also be pointed as it does look a little untidy, and of course there is only this small amount of foam between the outside and the underside of the tiles?

Thanks

If you bed the tiles at the edges the mortar is very likely to leech water under the tiles. What you have now is what you should have (though the foam does have a habit of deteriorating over the years).

Thanks for that Surrey Roofing Estimator,

it just looks a little untidy, but i guess i can live with that.... :)
