Polish Workers

I got a flyer through the door today, advertising Polish workers from £6/h.

"Got another quote? Send it to us. We beat 90%"

Joiners, Electricians, Plumbers........etc...

Any comments?

Got to go and see customers daughter who went for the "beat any quote option" Did a drive by this weekend, 2 new boilers, both require RIDDOR, and thats from a quick glance. Guess I wont be too popular, will take photo's and send to installer.

We are part of Europe now and will, over a period, all work for the same wage. Sadly that wage is peanuts. There's no way round it. The governments of the three major parties want it this way, and the reason they want it this way is big business wants cheap labour. No party can rule without having business onside. Better get used to it - it'll come down even more as the Poles get CORGI and NICIEC listings.
