Polishing a Marble surround

Removing Xmas decorations from our Marble fire surround and removing sellotape glue left behind.
Wife used a kitchen scrub pad and now lost its shine in the area.
Any tips how bring the shine back, could a car scratch remover/polish be safe to use ?
