I've bought some twin walled poycarbonate to glaze a greenhouse we've been given. How important is it to seal the ends? I've also bought some aluminium tape and what's called "vent" tape as recommended but I'm not sure if it's really necessary or how to use it.

It is important to tape the ends otherwise the cavities get full of creepy crawlies.

You need'nt have gone to the expense of twin wall it will have hardly any beneficial affect.

Thanks for that. The twin wall was being offered in 10 packs which worked out cheaper than solid sheet!

I did the whole of my greenhouse roof with this for safety due to living near a football pitch.

The twinwall tape sealed the ends nicely, but when it snowed over winter it ended up pulling all of the tape off the end near the bottom. As the snow slid down it has obviously pulled it all off. So a bit of a waste of money as far as the tape was concerned. I will just have to live with seeing spiders above my head!
