I've fitted a sink in the garage and plumbed in the water supply using Polyplumb pipes and fittings. The water I'm getting out of the tap tastes rubbery, have I done something wrong?

I hoped it would go away on it's own but we've been using the tap regularly for ~3 weeks now and it's still there.

Pipe I used:

Nothing wrong with the pipe and fittings you have used, they are suitable for drinking water. Are you thinking 'rubbery' because it's plastic pipework. If it is a genuine odd taste you'll probably have to look elsewhere.

Thanks, that's reassuring. Any thoughts onwhy I may be getting odd tasting water other than the pipes?
The set up is that my boiler was replaced recently and moved into the garage. When they fitted the boiler they left a hot and cold point available right next to the boiler for me to put in the sink.
The sink i actually put in is the one out of the kitchen because we're replacing our old kitchen, so don't think the tap can be causing the bad taste.
