Hi,

My builder says I should put a polythene membrane between the celotex insulation and my PB UFH pipework because there is some form of reaction between the foil on the celotex and the pipework that can damage the pipe. I can't find any mention of this on the JG site ( I'm using JG PB pipe). Has anyone come across this before and is is really necessary to install this membrane.

You put a polythene membrane over the pipes if you are fitting a wooden floor, otherwise not needed unless someone knows different.

JG is stappled direct to celotex and screeded over.Never used a membrane and we're JG approved and have one of their reps fit with us on some occasions.
