Any decent builders suppliers should stock a suitable membrane.

Is it necessary?

Or even desireable?

Thats assuming there is a proper dpc under the insulation!

DPM it's called Tony....... ;)

A DPM would go below the insulation on a screened floor. And as Tony has stated below the concrete sub-floor.

Thanks, ill try local merchants however most seem to stock 1000 gauge.

I have a dpm under the concrete oversite. The purpose of the slip membrane is to tank the insulation and contain the flowing liquid screed

Yes that's correct and will also reduce the chances of the final screed cracking.
The clue is in the name. "Slip membrane".

Liquid screed combined with ufh = Wise decision!

Thanks for the help, managed to get some 400 gauge from express polythene in birmingham. Its a little fiddly to lap round corners etc but with a bit more detailing should be ready for the new screed floor
