Hi,

We are planning on converting the ground floor of the house to UFH when we do an extension.

I am also looking at running six pipes from the boiler / motorised valve / UFH manifold area to the garage (part integral) for the future installation of a Heat Store.

These pipes will need to be laid in the concrete under the UFH.

1. Is this possible?
2. If so, should I insulate the channel dug for them on the bottom and top before laying the UFH then screed?

Thanks,

Simon

Just insulate the pipes with armaflex.
Why not keep the cylinder in the home?

Then less pipes!
Had you considered an unvented cylinder?
What depth of insulation are you laying over the existing floor?
