Pond Pump

If installing a pond pump, does it have2 be protected by a fused spur or can it be run of a 6A switch on its own 6A circuit protected by an RCD?
The pump is only 21W

a switch of any description is for for controling a device (on or off) are you sure the ^a mcb is backed up by an rcd? (i am wondering is it fed from a garage with small cu with rcd?)

The other thing is if there is no fuse anything else on the circuit will swithc off too.

you can get "pond boxes" for want of a better word that have switches and fuses built in and they are designed for.................
