Pond wall

Hi,
Could a builder please suggest a good way to build a 5ft high rock wall and tie it into a concrete block wall which is behind it. The rocks mustn't come loose as they would fall into the pond and possibly damage the lining.
thanks, George

As I type I am looking at a 6' high dry stone wall. "dry" = no mortar . It depends on the batter (amount the new wall is leaning back) and the skill of the builder and the types of rock, Err, pebbles are very slippery, dressed stones are very stable. If you are worried, put in big wall plugs every 2' , then drive into the plugs big stainless steel screws without tightening them, get a stainless wall ties and bend them tightly around each screw. tighten screw. Should last for 1000 years.
