Can anyone help me please. I'm using Windows Explorer 6 with Windows XP and I have disabled pop-up blockers in the Tools menu. However I am still frequently unable to open stuff from the internet and I get the message "pop-up blocked". Is there some other setting I need to change? Thanks.

i am only guessinh but have you installed a pop up blocker?

the likes of bt yahoo supply one foc

No. That is to say I definitely haven't "knowingly" installed one!!

Where does it say popup blocked? is it a yellow bar at the top of the explorer window? Does it say "click here for options"?

It usually says "pop-up blocked" at the bottom left corner of the screen, without the gold bar.

BUT when I try to download Flashplayer (eg to view Youtube clips) I do get a message saying I may need to click on a gold bar at the top of the screen. However, the gold bar doesn't appear and I can't go any further to download Flashplayer.

Thanks for your help.
