I'm choosing tiles for a bathroom. Round the bath/shower area, and the basin wall. Walls only, not floor.

I see that porcelain is harder to drill. Does it have any advantages that might balance this difficulty?

Personally I use Porcelain on floors as harder wearing and ceramic on walls as they never get foot traffic so not likely to wear. Get a good drill though and drill on slow speed you can cut porcelain ok
