hi all has anyone any idea why i have 3 thick cables underneath the car that are lower than anything else ie keep catching on speed humps and the like is it a serious fxxk up or should there be a protective cover underneath? the wiring looks original and has obviously been in that position a whilr (due to rigidity and shape) it just seems really wrong to me its positioned about a metre from the front in the centre any help would be appreciated iv ordered a manual but wont be here for a few days the car wont start unless i fix the cables back into the (excuse the nonknowledge) cylindrical thingmibob looks like a starter motor ish cheers

Is the battery in the boot?

If so then a wild stab in the dark would be that they're probably a main feed to the starter (from the battery), a feed from the altenator (to the battery) and an earth (to the engine bay from the battery.)

If the battery's not in the boot, try a Porsche forum on the web.
