Hello all, recently put in a seocnd hand homebase 253797 which has been working fine. Today it wouldn't turn on displayed E1 message. I did a "hard" reset, it goes into a boot procedure, the relays click constantly, the fan and compressor kick in for a second, then die and it repeats.

I've replaced the large capacitor and the thermistor as that seemed off anyway, no help.

Had a look at the control board. The incoming power is fine, the relays are receiving power no problem, however on the switched pin the power comes in and dies, it doesn't maintain.

This is the same on all outgoing power; at the capacitor, the fans, the compressor etc.

Would this mean the relays are likely at fault or something else? An old control board is not easy to get and costs more than the unit cost... seems a shame not to repair.

The most likely cause would be loss of refrigerant. Is there a pressure sensor and if so have you checked it?

Hiya, I'm sorry to ask but do you happen to have a photo of the coupler that attaches to the machine? I've been looking for one everywhere but I can't seem to find a good photo.
