Position of fused control unit

Can you put a FCU in a cabinet next to the appliance, e.g a 13amp FCU for an oven? Reading through this forum it appears that you can as long as it is accessible. I only ask because i want the electriction that that rewires the kitchen to do this and need to be sure its ok. Its only a small kitchen and i want minimum cluter above the worktops.

Once you have filled up the cuboard with cornflake packets and blenders, and closed the door, the FCU will be out of sight. It then may as well not be there, as, when your oven catches fire or a person washing it down is electrocuted, anyone rushing in to help will not be able see it and switch it off.

When you have your working sockets, the switches for the fridge and freezer, and the FCU for the Extractor fitted in the wall above the worktop, one switch more or less will not look out of place.
