Have you got a draincock at the lowest point on the hot water pipework if so drain it down from there untill it runs clear of air
Open the hot kitchen tap, what happens?
Hand under spout of kitchen mixer, open hot tap and then open the cold very slowly forcing cold water up the hot pipe work. Do this for 30 seconds, should remove air.
