Hi all,
I think I might have a problem with my Mid Position Actuator. All the commands seem to be working correctly, and the lever is moving, but as it does so the whole actuator is rotating relative to the pipes as well. Looking at some videos, it seems the actuator should be staying in the one position (are there two pins coming out the back that should be keeping it in place?) but mine is definitely rotating.
I'm nervous of removing it in case it all falls apart on me (my luck is either that everything goes perfectly and I look brilliant, or it all completely falls apart and my wife hates me for the next month!) which is why I've not removed it from the valve and was hoping for some confirmation here first before I tackle it.
Could it also indicate a faulty valve - perhaps it's stuck and the motor broke the pins trying to turn the valve but ended up turning the actuator instead? My heating is half-working, half-not but the hot water is fine. Could this possibly be why heating is OK upstairs (same level as the valve) but downstairs the flow could be restricted and that's why we've barely any heating downstairs?
Thanks!
