The problem is as follows:-
When the heating is turned on the boiler fires up as normal, but starts kettling, shortly followed by a lock out and a bit of steam from the prv on the top left of the boiler. I have drained off some water from the rads and it was perfectly clear (I was expecting / hoping for some dirty water). Pump is working efficiently. I haven't yet flushed any de-scaler through the system because it is in a London basement flat with some underfloor pipes - so not keen on causing any leaks there! Even more annoying is that it will operate normally if you leave it for 5 mins ( re-lighting the pilot). I know intermittent faults are a bit of a nightmare, but has anyone else experienced this or heard of similar faults.

I think its more likely to be the CH temperature sensor or possibly just that the Ch is turned up too high.

On the main PCB, behind the small pcb with the controls, there is a potentiometer with a black plastic knob. If its turned fully clockwise then try turning it fully anti-clockwise!

raden why don't you register

or are you too thick :?:

you don't like corgi fine a lot of us don't but remember bonny lad we have to put up with the dog to work
it's the reg that make your living

unless of course you are selling to the unreg

Does it work reasonably ok on HW?
Does the pressure rocket up?

It seems to work fine on the DHW. I haven't actually watched the pressure gauge - I'll check again next time I'm there. CH temperature sensor was set in the middle, turned it right down to test, but made no difference. How does the wax capsule work in the diverter?

It doesn't have a by-pass valve fitted!!! Going to fit one and take it from there.
Watch this space - will keep you posted.

Never mind that for now, just open a rad.
I reckon Harrogate has it.

"raden why don't you register "

The secret is in the "I" = installer
I have no aspirations to install gas appliances, I sit at a desk and run a company

"or are you too thick "

I have an honours degree in physics, I run a successful company - I don''t think so

Well yes - but I am in a fairly unique position. I see how incompetent and corrupt a lot of CORGIs are. I feel a moral obligation to give you a communal kick up the {word which will be cansored}

And keep kicking until you rise up and burn CORGI at the stake

"unless of course you are selling to the unreg "

I have no problem with that

Going to change the wax capsule first and I'll let you kow how it goes. The damn thing is working ok today.
WTF is up that Raden idiot??

Have you checked the CH temperature sensor ???

Clue, you will need a digital resistance meter !!!

Tony

PS An "idiot" in Irish is an "Egit"
