Mate has a potterton 100L that he called the AA out for as it intermittently working. AA man replaced the pcb but then said it needed new flow and air pressure and thermistor sensors...which sounds s little strange.
thermister registers just under 1m ohm at a warm room temp (sounds about right) but the air pressure switch doesn't close when the boiler starts up. If the air pressure switch it bypassed to rule it out of the issue, no change is seen, the boiler has a green and orange slow flashing light followed by a rapid red flashing (indicating flow sensor issue).
Pump can be felt to be working...but without replacing the flow sensor it'd be difficult to diagnose.
Without just throwing a whole bag of new parts at it in the hope that one fixes it, is there an easy way to diagnose the air pressure sensor (bypass it?) or flow sensor?
or are there any other suggestion other than the 'need a new boiler mate' that he's heard from three people now...which seems a bit overkill??
thanks
