Can anyone help me,
I have a potterton 3 year old 50L and since the cold weather kicked in, the boiler has decided that it may and may not work, red light stays on and last night when I tryed to reset it, the gas ignites for 2-3 seconds and then turns off and does this 4 times before the light comes back on.
I have read a load of posts and most seem to point to their doggy lead free solder on the PCB but I haven't checked this yet.
My limited amount of knowledge around trouble shooting a gas boiler is that when the cold snap started the boiler has been on constantly and this has dried out the solder but I am open to suggstions.
I'm going to check PBC later for cracks in the solder but am not sure it I am going down the right route.
Any suggestions would be great.
