We have a Potterton Performa gas ch boiler. It is around 4 years old, the main ch system is much older but the radiators all work ok,and were flushed when the boiler was installed but most don't have indvidual thermostats. There is a main roon thermostat in the inner hall (Drayton digistat). The digistat seems to be in working order and so does the boiler but something is going wrong and I anot sure where the problem lies.

The boiler fires up at the correct time in the morning but does not stay fired up. It switches off the CH as soon as it reaches 21 degrees (the setting in the digistat)
but then stays off. It does not fire back up again when the temperature drops below 21. This problem persists even if we have boiler set to run for 24 hours. The ch can be coaxed back on by manually resetting the thermostat to 22 degrees then it fires up again temporarily and stops. Increasing water temperature on the boiler does not help.

Any suggestions on cause and fix?

To make any useful comment you need to tell us at what stat temp the boiler does fire up again.
