boiler was working fine .if i turn boiler on it fails to light and the lock out bulb lights,if i press the reset button, fan kicks in can feel pump working have seen sparks from ignighter over burner any ideas would be great

If you can see the sparks then there is a gas related problem which will need a competent gas registered engineer.

The only thing you can do is to confirm that the gas supply is on for example than a gas hob is working.

In that case you will need a competent registered gas engneer!

It may well only be a minor problem like a blocked pilot burner or mispositioned ignition electrode.

But It could also be a failed gas valve. These sometimes fail as a result of water leaking from the AAV on that model.

Tony

i have taken off panel to expose electrodes and only one is sparking could this be the problem
or should it work just as well with one

Only a gas registered person should remove the sealed cover!

There is only one electrode!

You need a competent engineer who can repair it safely.
