potterton cuts out

Hi hope someone can help, my elderly relative has just phoned she cant get her heating to work, is a potterton kingfisher RS50 it lights all works rads get warm then it cuts out after 2-3 minutes. any ideas gratefully received

is it making any noises?

is it doing it just in hot water or central heating or both?

Thanks for reply, she says it works normally, no unusual noises etc.Just cuts out.She says the boiler is only for central heating,has immersion heater for hot water.

does the pilot go out?

Pilot light stays on.

Thanks for your advice will pass it on only she is on her own and is worried she may have to have a new boiler.

thats a great donkey boiler

rather have one of them to ten new ones
