hi, new user, what a great resource I have stumbled accross !

can anyone help me ?

moved into house 1 year ago.

3 months ago, no hot water, so have been using manual override on 2pv, was going to replace in summer when I thought I would switch off the central heating.

anyway, get call from wife at work monday afternoon to say, no heating or hot water in house. on returning from work discover boiler down. pilot out.

took lower cover off and front cover, no sign of starter button ? but after removing front panel, accrid electrical burnt smell !!!
when switching on control panel, pump runs, but no fan ?

guess something burnt out preventing system advancing to ignition ?

what next ?????

sounds like new fan to me, are you getting sparking noise like its trying to light.

many thanks for prompt feedback, can't say I can hear any clicks, would it try if fan not running ? how regular would clicks be ?

get out the volt meter if you have one and check for 240Vac on the wires going to the fan.

if yes the fan...if no then something else.
