good evening, my suprima 50 has developed a fault that its reset button does work any more.

no hot water and heating.

when I opened the boiler cover today and noticed that there is a slight damp in the flue fan resister. not sure if this is the fault. I would appreciate if you can help me diagnose the problem. thank you very much in advance.

thank you bengasman for your quick response. your comment noted.

there seems to be *no* power to pump while the light flashing. it does not spin by itself. is this correct? I pull out the bleed pin toward me and i can turn the pump.

your pcb has a well known fault, it needs to be replaced, dont fiddle with the boiler you will just make things worse.

thank you picasso. definitely dont want to make things worse.

PCB was replaced about 4 year ago. where/who would you recommend should I call to get it replaced?

very useful information. thank you again

yes, I will look and see if they can help.

would it be advisable to have potterton specialist to replace a PCB or parts?

thank adlplumbing.

from this forum, it seems that PCB model 5111603 is popular one. is this still latest model. which model should I look for?

what is the going price for a PCB ?

also the outlet valve of my pump is leaking (visible green discharge). how big is this job?

do you think if it is worth replacing the valve at the same time of having PCB replaced?

good news:

my boiler has started up all of sudden by itself and it is working both HW and CH. for now it is working. so there is hot water tonight . thank you all.

wonder what has caused the boiler not firing until now.

will try and call an engineer to have a closer look at the boiler.

If you have the old PCB then it sounds as if its failing.

You will need to have the PCB replaced with the new one which is nearly £200.

It has to be fitted by a gas engineer.
