Purchased a property in May 2005, and as you know, mild weather = no problems with heating!!

Loft conversion has 2 rads, that are both cold and noisy. Bled them both, still cold. Lots of noise, but no water coming out of either!! Checked expanson tank, has water! There another tank immediately below this tank, and it has water (albeit dirty) in it as well. All other rads are hot and working well.

Any suggestions?? Is there a water guage valve on boiler which needs opening to let water in, as it seems not enough water in system.

That's confused. There can only be one header tank connected, and it must be above the rads. Or a pressurised system and no header tank. WE can't tell!
Feed from header tank to system can get blocked.

Thanks Chris. I'm no help at all, but these tanks are to the side of the loft conversion, covered in loft insulation sheets. I'll have to dig deep tonight to see if there is a blckage at the bottom.

Had an exploratory look at the boiler, but there's def. no water guage on it, if this helps!

Had a look in the loft. Can't really see bugger all, but rads still cold, therefore looks like have no option but to call out the big guns!!

Thanks again for your advice.........
